The design of this collection began with the lampshade. I aimed to create a lampshade that would evoke an abstract image of a forest in the mind of the viewer. Once the lampshade was completed, I designed the base to be a simple companion and support for the lampshade. I then added a smaller size and a ceiling pendant to the collection. While designing, I listened to a podcast about Mahlagha Mallah, who is known as the mother of the Iranian environmental movement, and decided to name the collection in honor and memory of this great person.
The materials and structure of the connections in this collection have been designed in a way that allows for easy production with the machinery available in furniture factories. So, if you own a furniture brand and would like to offer a lighting collection alongside your products, please get in touch with me.
